Q. What is the Alumni Association?
A. The Point Park University Alumni Association is comprised of all students who have a degree from the University. The Alumni Association has been active since the University's founding in 1960.

 

Q. How do I join the Alumni Association?
A. Once you receive your degree you are automatically a member of the Point Park Alumni Association. We have no membership fees and all graduates are members.

 

Q. What are the benefits of the Point Park University Alumni Association?
A. There are a variety of special benefits and services available to Point Park alumni.  Please check out our "Benefits and Services" page for complete details.

 

Q. How can I get involved with the Alumni Association?
A. You are part of the past and the future of Point Park University. You can help us grow and sustain a vibrant University community, extending beyond campus to include alumni, parents and friends, as well as students, faculty and staff. There are many ways to get involved: attend an alumni event, join an alumni group, mentor a student, or volunteer to be part of the new Pioneer Alumni Recruitment Team (P.A.R.T.). Join us today!

Q. How do I find another alumnus or alumna?
A. We have been very successful with connecting our alumni through Facebook. We actively update our Facebook page and students and alumni have been reuniting through it.

Q. How can I find out about upcoming events?
A. All upcoming events are posted to our Events/Activities page. You may also contact the Alumni Office at any time to inquire about events in your area at 412-392-4750 or via e-mail at alumni@pointpark.edu

 

Q. How do I nominate someone for an alumni award?
A. You may submit nominations online by visiting the "Distinguished Alumni Awards" page under the "Events/Activities" tab on the Alumni homepage.

 

Q. Where do I send my personal news (marriages, births, jobs, etc.) for the alumni magazine?
A. You can send us your updates on the Submit a Class Note page.  You can also send information to alumni@pointpark.edu or call 412-392-4750.

Q. How can I update my contact information with the University?
A. We want to keep you informed about everything that's happening at Point Park so please update your information regularly on our Update Your Contact Info page.

 

Q. How do I get a copy of my transcript?
A. To obtain an official copy of your transcript(s), please complete a transcript request and mail it to the Office of the Registrar, Point Park University, 201 Wood Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 or fax to 412-392-3962.

You can also request a transcript in person by visiting the Office of the Registrar on the 9th Floor of Thayer Hall. You must bring a picture ID and complete a transcript request form.

Please note that transcripts typically take three to five business days to process (unless the student is having the transcript held for final grades or degree posting). Transcripts will not be released if a student has not been financially cleared with the Student Accounts Office.

 

Q. Can the Alumni Association help me network with other alumni?
A. The Career Development office can assist alumni with job searches. Please visit their website to sign up for the free job search service Pioneer Pathways. The Alumni Office also hosts a variety of mixers throughout the year for alumni to network. Please visit our "Events/Activities" page regularly for updates.

 

Q. How do I make a gift to the University?
A. One of the most rewarding benefits of giving to Point Park is knowing that your gift will make a difference in the lives of students. Your support is also essential to the University's efforts to enhance the vitality of our Downtown neighborhood. You may give a gift by visiting the Online Giving page.
