Point Park University's K-12 school principal certificate is an 18-credit, post-baccalaureate program designed for certified teachers who are interested in broadening their career opportunities and moving into administrative positions within schools. This Pennsylvania certification principal certification program can be completed through evening and Saturday classes.
PA Principal Certification
To be eligible for certification by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, candidates must have five years of professional teaching experience and pass the required Praxis exams.

Principal Certification Courses

- Applied Research Practicum
Students are eligible for Point Park’s tuition discount being offered for all certificate and master's degree education programs. This tuition discount is approximately 35 percent below the standard rate for master's degree programs and 28 percent below the standard rate for certificate programs.
New and returning education certificate and master's degree students will receive this lower tuition rate as follows:
- Discounted cost per credit: $530
- Discounted cost for a three-credit class: $1,590
