CSI Summer Camp for High School Students

Learn about crime scene investigations, forensic science careers and more

High school students are invited to experience a four-day summer camp on Point Park University's campus dedicated to the fields of forensic science, criminal justice, intelligence and national security. The camp helps high school students understand the job opportunities in each discipline.

Point Park professors with years of experience in their chosen fields instruct students daily on the topics of intelligence studies, criminal evidence, crime scene investigation, trace evidence, crime prosecution and more.

The camp is a combination of lecture, student interaction and hands-on experiences including:

Point Park students in the the Criminal Justice and Intelligence Studies evaluate a mock crime scene.
  • Crime scene house processing and evidence lab
  • Hair analysis lab
  • Impression evidence lab
  • Fingerprint lab
  • "Forensic Jeopardy"
  • Mock trial
  • Certificate presentations … and more!

The total cost for the four-day camp is $150 and includes lunch in the Point Park Lawrence Hall dining room each day, a CSI t-shirt and lab supplies.

The camp runs each day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
