What does your new job entail and what excites you about it?

I work within the asset liability management practice of BNY Mellon and report to the group vice president. I am excited to work alongside great minds and a diverse group of individuals with different backgrounds and skillsets, and for the sixth-largest investment management company in the world.

How did you find out about Point Park, and why did you choose our M.S. in Information Systems and Business Analytics program?

The world around us is always evolving, and the need to learn and grow as professionals is a top priority for many people. With five years of experience in finance, I had to learn new technical skills in the field of data and business analytics. Point Park’s MSISBA program has the right mix of analytics courses coupled with project management courses, which is what I was looking for.

How did Point Park's faculty and courses prepare you for your new job?

The MSISBA program at Point Park introduces data science and analytics concepts and provides a good pathway for new graduates to find one’s own career path, be it as a data analyst, data scientist or data specialist in the domain of their choice. The faculty are always willing to help students succeed in their academic and professional lives.

What did you like about going to school in Downtown Pittsburgh?

It was easy to come to school using public transportation. The city has a decent transportation system with both bus and train routes.

Why would you recommend Point Park to a prospective student?

Point Park's Rowland School of Business offers various business degrees, and their flexibility of class schedules makes it a good choice for working professionals. The faculty are knowledgeable in their fields and provide a better understanding of concepts with real-world and practical examples one would experience in the field.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?
